Economy Packing Ltd has been established in West Yorkshire since 1978 and in over 40 years of trading has provided packing advice and services to many of the region’s manufacturers.

Packing to BS1133 Section 8 1991 is provided as standard by the company. However, many clients require variations to this specification.  Economy Packing can help and advise on aspects of packing and preservation to suit most applications.

The packing services we offer are provided from our factory here in Wakefield or at our client’s premises depending on the cost effectiveness of handling and transportation. EPL also offer a Case / Crate / Pallet supply option.

Handling facilities in our 25,000 square foot of manufacturing and storage space consists of 1 x 20T and 3 x 3.5T overhead cranes together with 1 x 8T and 1 x 3T fork trucks. This enables us to load and unload containers ranging from 20’ General Purpose to 40’ Open Tops or High Cubes all within our premises.

Economy Packing is registered with the UK Forestry Commission to provide a packing service that meets the requirements of the internationally recognised wood marking programme ISPM 15 and are also members of Timcon & Pallet Link.
